Solar Panel Installation

Expert, hassle-free solar panel installation carried out by our own MCS certified engineers. From initial survey to final commissioning, we manage every detail so you do not have to.

Professional Solar Installation You Can Trust

At Integral Solar, we believe a great installation starts long before a panel reaches your roof. Our dedicated, in-house team handles every stage of your project, from the initial site assessment through to system commissioning and aftercare. We never use subcontractors, which means you always know exactly who is working on your property and can hold us directly accountable for the quality of every connection, bracket and cable.

As MCS certified installers, we adhere to the highest industry standards on every job. This certification is not just a badge; it guarantees that your system meets strict quality benchmarks, qualifies for government-backed incentive schemes and is registered with your Distribution Network Operator correctly. Our engineers are fully qualified electricians with specialist solar PV training, ensuring a safe, compliant installation every time.

We understand that having work carried out on your home can feel disruptive. That is why we plan meticulously, communicate clearly and work efficiently to keep disturbance to an absolute minimum. Most domestic installations are completed within one to two days, and we always leave your property clean and tidy once the job is done.

Our Installation Process

A clear, structured approach that takes the stress out of going solar. Here is exactly what happens from your first enquiry to the moment your system goes live.

01

Initial Survey & Assessment

We arrange a convenient time to visit your home, working around your daily routine. Our surveyor checks your roof from inside the loft and outside, measuring pitch, orientation and tile condition. We review your recent electricity bills at the kitchen table and talk through what you want from solar, whether that is lower bills, battery backup or future EV charging readiness.

02

System Design

Back at our office, our design team models your roof using survey data and satellite imagery to create a panel layout that avoids chimneys, vents and shading. We size the inverter to match your household consumption and factor in any battery storage. You receive a clear, itemised quote showing exactly what you will pay and the savings you can expect over 5, 10 and 25 years.

03

Scaffolding & Preparation

A few days before installation, our scaffolding team erects a safe working platform around the relevant section of your house. We let you know the exact date and suggest notifying your immediate neighbours, as the scaffold may briefly affect shared paths or driveways. All materials and panels are delivered ahead of the main install day so everything is ready to go.

04

Panel & Inverter Installation

On installation day, our in-house engineers arrive first thing and typically complete a standard domestic system within a single day. They mount rail brackets to your rafters, clip the panels into place and run cabling down to the inverter location inside your home. For most houses this means one day of roof work and a short period of electrical work indoors. We protect your carpets, close doors behind us and keep noise to a minimum.

05

Testing & Commissioning

Before we leave, every circuit is tested to BS 7671 standards and the system is switched on so you can see it generating. We sit down with you to set up the monitoring app on your phone, explain how to read your generation and export figures, and hand over your MCS certificate and warranty documents. We also submit the DNO notification on your behalf so your energy supplier knows you are generating. Scaffolding is usually removed within a couple of days.

What Sets Us Apart

Four reasons homeowners across the UK trust Integral Solar with their installation.

In-House Installers

Every member of our installation team is a direct Integral Solar employee. We never outsource to subcontractors, so you benefit from consistent quality, clear communication and a single point of accountability from start to finish.

MCS Certified

Our Microgeneration Certification Scheme accreditation guarantees that every installation meets the highest UK industry standards. It also ensures your system qualifies for government incentive schemes and provides lasting peace of mind.

Minimal Disruption

We plan every installation meticulously to keep disturbance to your household as brief as possible. Most domestic systems are fitted in just one to two days, and we always leave your home clean and tidy once the work is complete.

Full Project Management

From scaffolding and DNO notification to MCS registration and warranty setup, we handle every administrative and practical detail on your behalf. You get a dedicated project manager who keeps you informed at every stage, so there are never any surprises.

Your Installation Timeline

A typical domestic solar panel installation takes just one to two days from the moment our team arrives on-site. Larger or more complex systems may require an additional day, but we will always confirm the expected timeline with you well in advance so you can plan accordingly.

Because we employ our own installers rather than subcontractors, there are no scheduling delays or miscommunication between trades. Our engineers arrive on time, work efficiently and keep you updated throughout the day. If any unexpected issues arise, such as a roof repair or additional wiring, we discuss them with you immediately and agree a solution before proceeding.

We take care of all the behind-the-scenes administration too. That includes arranging scaffolding erection and removal, submitting your DNO notification to register the system with your local electricity network, completing your MCS certification paperwork and registering your manufacturer warranties. Once we hand over your system, you will have everything you need, including monitoring access, user guides and our aftercare contact details.
